Pujya Swamiji and Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati were recently part of the conference by United Nations Office of Genocide Prevention, KAICIID and the World Council of Churches on Preventing Incitement that could lead to Atrocity Crimes in #ASEAN countries in Bangkok, Thailand. The conference was led and guided by Adama Dieng, Under Secretary-General and United Nations Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide, Mohammed Abu-Nimer, Senior Adviser to KAICIID Dialogue Center, Bishop Duleep Kamil De Chickera, Bishop of Colombo, World Council of Churches, and graced by the presence of Imam Umer Ahmed Ilyasi and so many renowned leaders from many religions across the Asia Pacific region and even Middle East representatives as well as from UNESCO, UN Geneva, UN Human Rights Council.
It was a thought and action provoking conference which led to great partnerships and specific plans for implementation of new programs to ensure that our sisters and brothers of EVERY religion are able to live free from violence. Beautifully organized by Simona Cruciani, Gillian Kitley and Renáta Smith.
