Musical Monday: Guru Purnima Offering of Om Jai Jagdish Hare

If you have been to our Ganga Aarti, or have watched livestreams of it on this page, then you’re sure to recognize Om Jai Jagdish Hare, the powerful bhajan sung to the Lord of the Universe, Lord Vishnu, that we offer each night during our beautiful aarti ceremony! We also offered it to HH Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji – Muniji during our Guru Purnima celebrations last month for He, like Lord Vishnu, brings the Light that dispels the darkness of our ignorance. He is our refuge!

This holy hymn declares so brilliantly…

You are my Father and Mother,
And my refuge,
Swami, You are my refuge.
Apart from You there is none else,
Swami, there is none else
I aspire for.

Complete and total devotion to God, to the Puran Paramatma – the Complete Supreme Being.
