Remembering Great Saint, Pujya Swami Muktanandji Maharaj at Patanjali University
HH Param Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji was joined by Sadhvi Bhagawatiji, Pujya Swami Ramdevji, Acharya Balkrishnaji and scores of saints and eminent personalities from across India in the auditorium of Patanjali University to remember and honour the passing of the revered saint, Pujya Swami Muktanand ji, whose presence was felt in the halls and grounds of Patanjali Yogpeeth for over 35 years. A brilliant Sanskrit scholar and teacher for students at the graduate and post-graduate levels, Swami Muktanandaji was also Patanjali’s treasurer and an expert in the field of medicinal herbs.
Sadhviji shared how he was a beautiful example, in perfect alignment with his name, of jivamukti – being liberated while living. She emphasized that, for him, mukti didn’t come only after passing but rather he was already living in mukti (freedom) and anand (bliss) and how his life was an example for all to follow.
