The Concept of God
Pujya Swami ji is beautifully explaining the Hindu culture by describing the concept of God as Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva (also known as Mahesh).
In Hinduism, Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh are considered the Trimurti—the three primary aspects or forms of God. Each deity represents a distinct role and function within the cosmic order.
Brahma is regarded as the creator of the universe. He is associated with knowledge, wisdom, and creativity. Brahma is depicted with four faces, symbolizing the four Vedas, and is often shown seated on a lotus emerging from Lord Vishnu’s navel.
Vishnu is the sustainer of the universe, He is considered the source of order, harmony, and preservation. Vishnu is often depicted with a dark complexion, holding various divine weapons and surrounded by his devotees. He is believed to incarnate on Earth in different forms (avatars) to restore balance and righteousness.
Shiva, also known as Mahesh or Mahadev, is the destroyer and transformer. Shiva is associated with cosmic dissolution, liberation, and spiritual transformation. He is often portrayed in a meditative pose, with matted hair, a third eye on his forehead, and a crescent moon on his head.
