Pujya Swamiji Graces Auspicious Commencement of Shri Hemkund Sahib Yatra in Rishikesh

Today marked the auspicious commencement of the revered Shri Hemkund Sahib Yatra from the Shri Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara in Rishikesh.

With the divine presence of HH Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, President of Parmarth Niketan; Baba Jot Singh Ji of Nirmal Ashram; and Brahmaswaroop Brahmachari Ji of Jayram Ashram; and graced by the Hon’ble Governor of Uttarakhand, Shri Lt Gen Gurmit Singhji; Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami Ji;  Hon’ble Speaker of Uttarakhand Assembly Smt. Ritu Khanduri Ji; and Hon’ble Ministers and MLAs; whose presence added to the spiritual fervor.

The serene Himalayas echoed with divine Gurbani, as the first batch of pilgrims began their sacred journey.

Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji shared, “This yatra is not just a pilgrimage—it is a living classroom of faith, service, and courage. It teaches love for nature, protection of the environment, and spiritual elevation.”

On this divine occasion, a Rudraksha sapling was presented as a green gift—a symbol of blessings for a clean and green Himalayas.  Let us all come together to make this yatra plastic-free, environmentally conscious, and spiritually enriching!
