Unity in Diversity: A Historic Interfaith Dialogue for National Progress

India’s First National Multi-Faith Coordination Committee (MFACC) Meeting was successfully held at Parmarth Niketan, focusing on Health, Nutrition, Sanitation, Child Protection, and Education, organized by the Global Interfaith WASH Alliance (GIWA) in collaboration with UNICEF India.

Spiritual leaders from across India, religious organizations, and UNICEF representatives came together to share their vision for a compassionate and united nation.

The event began with the lighting of the lamp and brought together 34+ eminent religious leaders, scholars & social leaders in a powerful confluence of faith and purpose.

A powerful message of social harmony and collective action was shared, as faith leaders pledged to work together across religions to uplift the most vulnerable sections of society.

The event concluded with a sacred lamp lighting ceremony and the symbolic presentation of a Rudraksha sapling, reflecting a shared commitment to a greener, healthier future.

Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji said, “Religion is not just spiritual practice; it is a responsibility toward society. When faith leaders come together to serve, true transformation becomes possible.”

President Kovind Ji shared, “India’s strength lies in its diversity. This multi-faith initiative is a meaningful step towards building a just, inclusive, and progressive society.”

All faith leaders joined in a sacred gathering on the banks of Maa Ganga, sending a message of unity, service, and harmony.   Rudraksha saplings were gifted — symbols of life, respect, and interfaith unity.

One collective pledge: To protect smiles, dignity, and our planet — together.
