On this World Soil Day, humanity must pause and listen to the silent cry of our Earth-Mother — the very soil on which our entire civilization stands. Soil is not just dirt; it is the root of life, the backbone of our environment, and the foundation of human survival.
Yet today, this very soil is falling sick — poisoned by chemicals, plastic, industrial waste, polluted water, and an irresponsible lifestyle.
The invisible microorganisms living in soil — Nature’s divine caretakers — are rapidly declining. Soil fertility is dropping, food is becoming toxic, and groundwater contamination is rising. Soil pollution is like silent termites eating the roots of our civilization.
H.H. Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, President of Parmarth Niketan, gives a profound message, “Soil is the sacred womb where the first heartbeat of life begins. It is not land; it is our Mother.
