Beautiful Spiritual Retreat in the UK with Pujya Swamiji & Sadhviji

Pujya Swamiji and Sadhvi Bhagawatiji led a special spiritual retreat in Dorset, UK, just outside of London, with participants from across the UK, Europe and the United States. The retreat was organized by Manda Lakhani, Kaneshbhai Lakhani, and their beautiful daughters Shreya Lakhani and Roshni Lakhani. The theme of the retreat was “Come to Nature, Be with Nature and Discover Your True Nature.”

The weekend retreat got an overwhelming number of participants, bringing together more than 100 participants; many, unfortunately, had to be turned away because the retreat was full to the capacity and some even preferred to camp in tents on the lawn just to attend. Plans are being made to hold the retreat in a bigger venue next year so everyone can take part in the beautiful and blessed opportunity to be in the presence of Pujya Swamiji and Sadhviji.

The retreat included meditation, yoga and kirtan. It included spirtual satsangs were inspiring talks were given on four main themes of inner peace/happiness, living in harmony with the environment, living in harmony with our loved ones and family and human suffering.

A special yagna ceremony was led by Yash Mehta and also a ceremonial tree plantation ceremony with a pledge by all participants that they will go back to their cities and countries and, on every birthday, every anniversary and every special occasion they will plant trees. Over 100 trees were donated by Pujya Swamiji and The Global Interfaith WASH Alliance, Ganga Action Parivar- Parmarth Niketan to the land of the retreat center. These trees will all be planted in a special area to be named the Peace Garden in honour of the spiritual retreat this weekend.

Pujya Swamiji, through GIWA, Ganga Action Parivar- Parmarth Niketan, has been leading and inspiring massive tree plantations across India for the last many years. Now the efforts and programmes have become international with the first Peace Garden to be planted in England.

Pujya Swamiji inspired all the participants that through meditation we recognize our oneness with the whole world, Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam, and so our meditation leads to actions that protect and preserve our environment, including the plantation of trees. Sir Richard Glyn, the owner of Gaunts House, the beautiful space where the sacred retreat was held, was specially blessed by Pujya Swamiji with a signed copy of His gorgeous biography, By God’s Grace. Sir Richard Glyn is believed to be at the forefront of the evolution of human consciousness and was so glad to share his space for this work of creating more peace and less pieces in the world.
