Divine Visit of Pujya Swamiji to Sanatan Mandir, Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
“Stay connected to your culture — never forget your roots!”
India is not lived by body, but by values and samskaras.
After nearly two decades, the Indian community in Chattanooga, Tennessee, was overjoyed to welcome Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji back to the Sanatan Mandir of Chattanooga. His presence filled the temple with divine energy, inspiration, and cultural awakening.
During his address to the Indian diaspora — especially families and youth — Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji emphasized the importance of staying connected to one’s village, roots, language, values, and culture, even while living abroad.
‘Wherever you go, never forget your roots. Live in America, but let your heart beat for India.”
Swami Ji reminded the gathering that it is not wrong to embrace modernity, but it is essential to balance it with spirituality and Indian ethos.
He urged parents to teach their children to speak Hindi, recite Sanskrit shlokas, celebrate Indian festivals, and take pride in their cultural identity.
On this sacred occasion, under the divine presence of Swami Ji, the temple installed 11 volumes of the monumental text ‘Hindu Dharma Vishwakosh’ — an encyclopedic compilation covering the depth and diversity of Hinduism, including Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, philosophy, traditions, and life values. This installation ensures that future generations will stay connected to the original sources of Sanatan Dharma.
Swami Ji’s heartfelt message resonated with all, “India is not merely a land; it is a land of sanskaras. Live it, share it, and preserve it — wherever you are.”
For the Indian families in Chattanooga, this divine day became a celebration of spiritual joy, cultural reconnection, and deep emotional fulfillment.
