Pujya Swamiji Chief Guest at 47th Jamnalal Bajaj Awards 2025 — A Celebration Honouring the Gandhian ‘Warriors’
The prestigious 47th Jamnalal Bajaj Awards Ceremony, dedicated to Gandhian values, service, and human compassion, was grandly held in Mumbai.
HH Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj, President and Spiritual Head of Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The Foundation presents these awards annually to honour those exceptional individuals who, walking on the path of Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals, have contributed selflessly to the upliftment of society and the nation.
In his inspiring address, Pujya Swami Ji said, “Service is the truest form of sadhana. Those who dedicate their lives to the welfare of others are the real Gandhian warriors. These honoured individuals are beacons of inspiration for society.”
He further added that as India moves towards ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’, embracing Gandhiji’s values of simplicity, cleanliness, self-reliance, and compassion in daily life is true nation-building.
On this occasion, four distinguished awards were conferred — for Constructive Work in Rural India, Application of Science & Technology for Rural Development, Development & Welfare of Women and Children, and the International Award for Promoting Gandhian Values Abroad.
Pujya Swami Ji lovingly called all the awardees “the true jewels of India”, saying, “Those who feel the pain of others as their own and work selflessly for their upliftment are the true yogis, the true Gandhians, and the real patriots.”
He urged every citizen to take a pledge for a Clean, Green, Healthy, and Compassionate India, saying, “If every person lights the lamp of selfless service in their village, community, and workplace, India will truly emerge as the spiritual and moral guide of the world.”
Jamnalal Bajaj Ji, often called the ‘Fifth Son of Mahatma Gandhi’, continues to inspire countless people through his life and legacy.
The 47th Jamnalal Bajaj Awards 2025 once again affirmed that Gandhiji’s principles remain the guiding light of India’s soul — whether in rural reconstruction, women’s empowerment, or global peace.
