Pujya Swamiji Graces Inaugural Session of 8th Jyotish Mahakumbh

The 8th Jyotish Mahakumbh, held at the Graphic Era Silver Jubilee Convention Center, Graphic Era Deemed University, Dehradun, emerged as a divine and inspiring confluence of Sanatan wisdom, science, and national consciousness.

The inaugural session was graced by the sacred presence of Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji, President of Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh, along with the dignified presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami Ji, making it a moment of great pride for all.

Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji shared, “Jyotish is a sacred Sanatan discipline—not superstition, but a science that awakens self-confidence. It is not opposed to science; rather, it complements knowledge.”

Recalling “Vedasy Netram Jyotisham”, he described Jyotish as a divine tradition connecting karma, time, and consciousness.

Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh DhamiJi described Jyotish as India’s ancient scientific heritage that continues to guide society.

During the event, eminent astrologers from across the country were honored with the Shri Chakra Samman, Jyotish Tapasvi Samman, and Lifetime Achievement Awards.

Greetings were also extended on National Girl Child Day and World Education Day.

This Mahakumbh reaffirmed that Sanatan knowledge is not just the past, but a guiding light for the present and the future.
