Pujya Swamiji Graces National Awareness Programme at Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar

On the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, a National Awareness Programme was organized at Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar, under the joint aegis of the All World Gayatri Pariwar, Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, and Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya.

The event was graced by the divine presence, blessings, and inspiring address of Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji, President of Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh.

In his keynote address, Pujya Swamiji emphasized that addiction does not only harm the body—it weakens one’s wisdom, values, family, and the very strength of the nation. If India is to fulfill its vision of becoming a Vishwa Guru, its youth must be empowered to rise above addiction and embrace the transformative path of yoga, spirituality, self-discipline, and selfless service.

Swamiji paid heartfelt tribute to the extraordinary legacy of Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya Ji, Vandaniya Mata Bhagwati Devi Sharma Ji, Dr. Pranav Pandya Ji, Shail Didi Ji, and appreciated the dedicated leadership of Dr. Chinmay Pandya Ji in carrying forward a unique vision where science and spirituality, modern education and timeless values come together to nurture a healthier, value-based society.

The programme was also attended by Dr. Virendra Kumar Ji, Union Minister of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India; Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat Ji, Cabinet Minister, Government of Uttarakhand; Shri Khajan Das Ji, Cabinet Minister, Government of Uttarakhand; Shri Vinay Rohela Ji; Shri Sandeep Rathore Ji, along with several distinguished dignitaries, all of whom called upon citizens—especially the youth—to become ambassadors of a drug-free and addiction-free India.

Together, participants took a solemn pledge to live an addiction-free life and inspire their families, friends, and communities to do the same.

Let us unite in the national resolve: “Together, Let’s Build an Addiction-Free Golden India.”

A nation becomes truly strong when its youth are empowered by character, compassion, wisdom, and purpose—not by addiction.
