The sacred land of Rishikesh witnessed a magnificent confluence of spirituality, devotion, service, and national unity as the Sangat embarking on the revered Hemkund Sahib Yatra was ceremonially flagged off with prayers and blessings.
On this divine occasion, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Shri Taranjit Singh Sandhu Ji and Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji honored the Panj Pyaras and offered heartfelt blessings to the pilgrims. Shri Bindra Ji and the office bearers of Gurdwara Hemkund Sahib warmly welcomed all the dignitaries. The atmosphere resonated with the sacred vibrations of Gurbani and the powerful chants of “Jo Bole So Nihal,” creating a deeply devotional environment.
Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji shared that Hemkund Sahib is not merely a pilgrimage destination, but a sacred symbol of penance, sacrifice, service, courage, and spiritual awakening. He said that the life of Guru Gobind Singh Ji continues to inspire humanity with fearlessness, compassion, righteousness, and unwavering dedication to protecting dharma and humanity.
Pujya Swamiji emphasized that in a world struggling with violence and division, the teachings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji guide humanity toward unity, courage, and standing firmly for truth and righteousness. He reminded devotees that this pilgrimage is not only an external journey through the Himalayas, but also an inner spiritual journey toward self-realization and surrender to the Divine.
Hon’ble Lt. Governor Shri Taranjit Singh Sandhu Ji stated that the Hemkund Sahib Yatra reflects India’s glorious tradition where spirituality and valor walk hand in hand. Paying tribute to Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and Guru Gobind Singh Ji, he said their sacrifices for protecting faith, human dignity, and religious freedom remain an eternal inspiration for generations to come.
Remembering the unparalleled sacrifices of the Sikh Gurus, Pujya Swamiji said that history rarely witnesses such examples where an entire family dedicated itself for the protection of humanity and dharma. The sacrifice of the four Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh Ji shall forever remain immortal in the golden pages of Indian history.
The program concluded with prayers for world peace, human welfare, and the successful completion of the sacred yatra. After the Ardas, devotees showered flowers upon the Sangat as the pilgrimage group was ceremonially flagged off with blessings and devotion.
