
Pujya Swamiji Graces Sahitya, Sanskriti and Kala Mahotsav in Dehradun
The Sahitya, Sanskriti and Kala Mahotsav 2024 in Thano, Dehradun, concluded with blessings from HH Param Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, President of Parmarth Niketan. This closing ceremony was honored by notable guests, including Hon’ble Minister of Culture and Tourism, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat Ji; Smt. Ritu Khanduri Ji, Speaker of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly; and Dr.Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank Ji, former CM of Uttarakhand, among others.
Swami Ji spoke of the Himalayas as symbols of India’s natural and spiritual heritage, stating, “If there is Himalaya, there is Ganga; if there is Ganga, there is life.” He praised literature as a vital medium to inspire and sustain culture, gratitude, and awareness, commending Nishank Ji’s visionary establishment of the Writer’s Village to preserve this legacy. This beautiful event celebrated literary treasures, unity, and the cultural essence of Uttarakhand, ending with the release of Dharti ka Swarg Uttarakhand and other works that spotlight the strength of Indian heritage.
