Pujya Swamiji Graces Yamuna Sangam | A Sacred Confluence of River Consciousness, Culture & Nation

On the auspicious occasion of the 100th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji, the grand and spiritually uplifting “Yamuna Sangam” was organized at Gandhi Darshan, Rajghat, New Delhi, under the joint aegis of the Yamuna Parivar Council and the Gandhi Smriti & Darshan Samiti. The programme was wholeheartedly dedicated at the sacred feet of Maa Yamuna.

Devotees, Yamuna sevaks and spiritual practitioners from Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh came together in a powerful expression of collective river consciousness. The event emerged as a living symbol of India’s cultural ethos, environmental responsibility and national duty.

Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh President Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati ji emphasized that rivers are not merely water bodies, but the lifelines of a nation’s culture, consciousness and civilization. Maa Yamuna is the living embodiment of India’s spiritual heritage, historical continuity and future well-being. Protecting her is not only an environmental concern, but a sacred cultural and spiritual responsibility.

The presence of esteemed dignitaries, public representatives, youth leaders and cultural icons, along with the grand Maha Aarti and devotional music, transformed the gathering into a people’s movement for river protection and awareness.

May Maa Yamuna flow forever—pure, uninterrupted and life-giving—along with the eternal stream of India’s cultural consciousness.
