Pujya Swamiji Meets with Hon’ble Minister of Culture and Tourism in Delhi

HH Param Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, President of Parmarth Niketan, and Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat Ji, Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, met in Delhi to discuss preserving and promoting India’s rich culture and societal values. They spoke about Yoga Maha Kumbh, Sanskriti Maha Kumbh, and Chintan Maha Kumbh at Prayagraj Maha Kumbh and the global message of harmony from the banks of the Sangam. Both emphasized the importance of spiritual tourism for addressing global issues like water conservation, environmental pollution, and global peace. Shri Shekhawat Ji acknowledged Swami Ji’s inspiring work in preserving India’s cultural and spiritual heritage.

Swami Ji said that tourism in India is not just a centre of entertainment but it is tourism imbued with spirituality, yoga, meditation and divinity. Now we will have to focus on the development of clean pilgrimage and green pilgrimage along with green tourism because only those pilgrimages and fairs are meaningful which give a new direction to the society. Therefore, devotees should come to Kumbh and take away a new consciousness.
