Women’s Equality Day & Radhashtami Divine Message
Let us work to create a world in which every girl and women is inspired, encouraged and empowered not only to survive but to truly thrive!
Today, on the occasion of Women’s Equality Day, Pujya Swami ji said that half the population all over the world are women, but even today there is gender inequality in many countries including India. This is the ditch which is very important to fill because both women and men are the basic unit of society! When both are educated, then the nation can develop overall. The stronger and deeper the roots of gender discrimination in our country, the slower our growth rate will be. When we talk about a self-reliant India, we have to give half of our population the opportunity to be educated.
Pujya Swamiji asked, “Have you ever seen a daughter celebrating the birth of a daughter in your neighborhood? Hardly seen or very rarely. We have to change this trend! We are living in 21st century and we Indians are proud to be 21st century citizens, but we celebrate only when a son is born! Our society still considers a woman a responsibility, and in many places women are so bound that their personality is not fully developed. Today reminds us that women should have equal rights, and they should also get the full opportunity for education, freedom and personality development. Women don’t want facilities or protection, they just want a bond free life.”
Radhashtami is celebrated on the eighth day of Bhadrapad month. Pujya Swamiji said that Shri Radhaji is a symbol of sacrifice, love and dedication. She devoted herself to God fully, so that her life was turned into God. Radhaji dedicated herself to Shri Krishna with full faith without any doubt, and where there is faith, love comes automatically.
