World Day for Safety and Health at Work

“The Covid-19 pandemic,” HH Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji shared when discussing today’s World Day for Safety and Health at Work commemorations, “has greatly affected nations, governments, employers, employees and the general population. And the current situation in India is heartbreaking.
“The corona virus has had a huge impact on workplaces all over the world. During this pandemic, we see that if one person is affected by the virus, then people of the entire office are affected, too. We need to strengthen the occupational health and safety systems. The epidemic has increased the risk of transmission of the virus in the workplace, so we need to change the way we work…we need to increase our dependence on online platforms.”

Pujya Swamiji called upon the youth of the country and said that they should cooperate in preparing and establishing an online professional framework in the country so that online working systems can be strengthened in the nation. “Along with developing safe and healthy working systems, it is absolutely necessary to have human qualities, spiritual values and cleanliness in our behavior. For the mitigation of the crisis that we find ourselves in, it is even more important to have humanity with a professional approach. Only by our mutual mercy, human goodwill and our solidarity will you be able to fight the battle against Corona.”

Swamiji said that only the human values of faith, sympathy, honesty, kindness, love and self-control can place a human being on the right path. “To develop humanity in people,” He concluded, “it is very important to have human values. Just as it is very important to have good health to live a good life, similarly human qualities are absolutely essential for building a good society. Human qualities should be developed in all people; it is necessary that we at least have a repository of humanity and human qualities; that we reach out to people with highest intent and motive. A person with these beautiful qualities is not just the soul of a nation but also of the whole society. A person sharing this message guides the masses not just for one era, but for the ages.”
