Pujya Swamiji’s Divine Hanuman Janmotsav Snan & Message
On the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, Pujya Swamiji spent the day celebrating the greatness of Lord Hanuman Ji, the inspiring symbol of kindness, service and devotion whose love for Lord Rama eclipsed everything else in his life and made every thought and every task an act of service to God.
The day began on the banks of Mother Ganga, when Pujya Swamiji was joined by the Parmarth Rishikumars in chanting the sacred Hanuman Chalisa and praying for the health and healing of the nation and the world.
He then took a Snan on behalf of all devotees and Parmarth family from across India and around the world, making a humble request of the citizens of the Nation: “Let us make this last bath of the Kumbh, a sattvic one, done in your homes with devotion and with the intention that you are here on the sacred banks of Maa Ganga. ”
In His beautiful Janmostav message, Pujya Swamiji implored us to dedicate all of our energies, efforts and support toward fighting the coronavirus so that both humanity and Mother Earth could be healed. He praised the work and selfless dedication offered by the frontline workers who are fighting day and night to save humanity from this monumental crisis, and He wished everyone a very Happy Hanuman Janmostav by adding, “It’s very important to follow the guidelines put forth by the Government of India, the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF to stop the spread of Covid19: Wear a mask, follow physical distancing, wash hands frequently with soap and water – and unless absolutely necessary do not go to crowded places. Ensure you are safe and those around you will be safe. When its your turn be sure to get vaccinated. The most important thing to keep in mind is ‘Jaan hai to Jahan hai’.”
Let us, like Lord Hanuman, be so consumed with love for the divine that we find the strength to combat Covid and the devotion to do whatever is necessary to end the pandemic.
